FAQ
Common questions
Do I need to bring the vehicle to you?
For most jobs, the vehicle will need to be present for testing or programming. You can bring it to Dannevirke, or we may be able to travel to you. There may be travelling costs involved if you live outside Dannevirke.
Do I need an already have one working key to make a spare?
Not neccessarily. In many circumstances I can also make a key even if all keys are lost. But its usually best time to organise a spare while you still have a working key. And far less stressfull than waiting until all keys are lost. ;)
Will my old key/remote still continue to work?
Yes, off course. The "spare" key is just that... an extra key for your peace of mind and convenience.
On my car the remote control does not unlock the car anymore. Can you fix it?
No, I cannot fix your existing car remote. But I can hopefully program a new one for that will work again. :)
My existing key has an immobiliser transponder chip built into the key shell. Is that a problem?
No, in that case the new key that I will make for you will also contain a cloned transponder that works just like your existing one.
Can you do push-button start fobs?
For many vehicles, yes. The exact answer depends on the model, year and key system. Send your rego and a photo of the existing fob if possible.
How much will a new key cost?

Will the key look exactly like my orginal one?
No, we use high quality universal remotes. It does not have any car branding. We have a number of different ones and usually recommend one best suited for your particular vehicle. Learn more about the remotes we commonly use.
What about keys for motor bikes or other types vehicles?
Chances are good that we may be able to help. Please contact us with the details via our web form here.
Why do you ask for proof of ownership?
Car keys are security-sensitive. We may need proof that you own the vehicle or have authority from the owner before cutting or programming keys.
